Henry “Hank” Lundy is becoming regular on ESPN Fight Day Night Fight’s; it will be his 8th time on Friday Night Fight’s! He’ll have be a test tonight as he’ll put his NABF lightweight title on the line against Raymundo “Sugar” Beltran. Beltran the veteran Beltran comes in as the underdog, but Hammering Hank better watch for signs that say Warning Dog May Bite! On the under card well see two super middleweight trying to make a name for themselves as Farah Ennis and Richard Pierson will square off in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds.

Farah Ennis 19 (KO 12) -1 -0 vs. Richard Pierson 11 (KO 8) -2 (KO 1) -0

10 rounds in the super middleweight division.

Both boxers are in the ring and have just touched gloves, and the bell rings.

Pierson is already made himself vulnerable be holding his hands high allowing Ennis to go downstairs early. Even with Pierson leaving the body wide open both boxers are remaining cautious through the first 2 rounds. Ennis has opened up in the 3rd really opened up establishing the jab and putting his combinations together going to the head and body. All Pierson has done is stood around like a statue, but has found a home for the counter right hand here in the 5th. Through 9 rounds it’s been all Farah Ennis it’s a huge surprise Richard Pierson is still standing his face is messed up from Ennis landing clean punches. Both come out of their corners and touch gloves, Pierson’s face doesn’t look good. Ennis is probably wondering what he has to do to get Pierson out of there, he’s hit Pierson with everything except the kitchen sink!

Richard Pierson surprisingly made it to the final bell, his face is a mess and his body has to be hurting badly, what a gutsy way to stay in there! It’ now in the hands of the judges, it should be Farah Ennis who gets the win as Richard Pierson looked like a human target for 10 rounds. Farah Ennis has been declared the winner by Unanimous Decision as expected. Improving his record to 20 (KO 12) -1 -0, and Richard Pierson 11 (KO 8) -2 (KO 1) -0

Henry “Hank” Lundy 22 (KO 11) -1 (KO 1) -1 vs. Raymundo “Sugar” Beltran 25 (KO 17) -6 (KO 2) -0

10 rounds in the lightweight division, for Lundy’s NABF lightweight title.

Both Lundy and Beltran have made their walks into the ring and a wait for the referee’s to give them the final instructions. We have the opening bell and both boxers come out cautious feeling each other out, both fighters were able to land single punches and a few combinations from each. Beltran was able to establish his jab in the opening round. Rounds 2 & 3 have belonged to Beltran, landing 3 and 4 punch combinations that are always ending downstairs. Lundy looks desperate trying hard to find the early knockout. Heading into the 4th round Beltran has a cut on his left eye, it didn’t seem to bother him he had Lundy in the last minute of the round. Raymundo Beltran has came to fight, so much for being the underdog! He is continuing to punish Lundy with putting him against ropes and fires off 3 to 5 punch combinations through rounds 5 to 8, Lundy is still looking determined but he knows Beltran is out boxing him badly. Lundy is catching Beltran over and over with a powerful left hook keeping him in the fight. Heading into the 9th round it’s clear that Beltran has came to box, consistently getting Lundy against the ropes or into a corner he is able to continue to fire combinations. Lundy’s defense is keeping him in the bout. As we head into the 10th and final round we have a close fight. Lundy comes out quickly going to Beltran’s body and back upstairs with that left hook. Beltran is staying aggressive backing up Lundy. And there rings the bell, this fight is headed to the judges’ score cards. Raymundo Beltran has just been declared the winner with a Majority Decision upset. As I mentioned before Henry Lundy should be very careful tonight with this underdog named Raymundo “Sugar” Beltran who ups his record to 26 (KO 17) -6 (KO 2) -0 and takes home the NABF lightweight title. Henry “Hank” Lundy lost his title and his record falls to 22 (KO 11) -2 (KO 1) -0. I’m not one bit shocked with the result as leading up to the bout Lundy had an over confident approach and appeared to be looking past Beltran.
