Ceja Brothers Set To Steal the Show

Written by Richard Allan McRae

On the night of Saturday 28th 2012 the main event on the card maybe former WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa, who defended that title 11 times, will take on Shigetaka Ikehara in a 12 round bout for the vacant WBC Silver flyweight title. The night may belong to 2 young bothers Luis and Julio Ceja their popularity is sweeping across Mexico at a rapid rate!

Luis “Gallo” Ceja is the older of the 2 brothers; he’ll turn 22 on August 17th. Luis Ceja currently has a record of 22 (KO 18) -1 -3 in the light flyweight division and is ranked 12th in the world and 4th in Mexico. On Saturday night he’ll take on fellow countryman Ivan Meneses who has a record of 17 (KO 10) -10 (KO 4) -1. They’ll square off for 10 rounds of boxing, the vacant IBF Latino light flyweight title will be on the line. I’m going out on a limb and predict Luis “Gallo” Ceja will claim the IBF Latino light flyweight title.
