Fielding lands first title fight in 'Rocky and the Betfair Prizefighters'

 

Rocky Fielding will challenge Wayne Reed for the Central Area super middleweight title at Liverpool Olympia on October 6 on a bumper night of boxing on Merseyside as Derry Mathews and Gary Sykes lead the line-up in the Betfair Prizefighter Lightweights II, all live on Sky Sports.

 

Fielding fights for his first title at the venue of his record breaking Prizefighter triumph in March 2011 when he became the Super Middleweight II champion and the first man to win Prizefighter with three KO wins. The 24 year old Merseysider takes on Sheffield's Reid who has a score to settle with the venue after dropping a controversial split decision in his quarter-final with Joe Ainscough that same night. Reed, also 24, won the title on Saturday (July 20) with a fifth round stoppage of Yorkshire's Alistair Warren at Hillsborough.
