50 cent the promoter has been licensed to promote in New York

 

The close friend of Floyd Mayweather "50 Cent" also known as Curtis Jackson reported to TMT (Team Cash) has been licensed to promote fights in New York. An application is pending in Nevada. In addition to promoting or co-promotion fights Floyd Mayweather (who already owns Mayweather Promotions), the company is expected to sign the Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa and Andre Dirrell. Mayweather is scheduled to leave the detention center in Clark County, August 3.

Could become a big player....especially if he's starting out with Gamboa and Dirrell, who don't really need much promotion to draw a good deal of interest.

A lot of fighters were drawn to Golden boy because of the De La Hoya element, and the same thing could happen with 50 Cent if his first few shows are a success.

Not sure how it will work with FMJ tbh, can't really see what 50-Cent brings to the table for him...
