I don't really have a lot of time for Guzman....chances are he'll fail to make weight, and either way, I doubt he'll be half as effective as a light-welterweight.

I thought Funeka beat him, and then he had the cheek to turn up at 144lbs to a 135lbs bout....not even close, and still totally scraped a win out of it.

 

He's had no wins of any signifigance in the past 5 years, if you discount the Funeka farces, so I don't really see how this guy keeps getting chance after chance to spunk away.

A world title bout, when the WBA title was just won by Garcia? Super title or not, is there any real need to fight for a "regular" title as well now, when Garcia just won the belt, and Cano just won the interim?

Another role of the dice for Guzman. Good match-up and its a Great opportunity for the youngster to beat the aged Guzman. Hope it goes ahead and at the scheduled weight. Don't agree with the WBA and all their multi title nonsense but a good fight nonetheless.
