TOP RANK MAKES FORMAL REQUEST

TO NEVADA ATTORNEY GENERAL

FOR FULL INQUIRY INTO PACQUIAO vs. BRADLEY

LAS VEGAS, NEV. (June 11, 2012) - Bob Arum, Chairman and CEO of Top Rank, said today that he has submitted a formal request to the Nevada Attorney General's office for a full and complete inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the scoring of Saturday's WBO welterweight championship fight between defending champion Manny Pacquiao and challenger Timothy Bradley. The Pacquiao-Bradley welterweight title fight took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

"The public has a right to know. The fighters have a right to know," said Arum. "The only way to restore fans' confidence in boxing is by letting an independent body investigate every detail of the fight no matter how big or small. Sunshine never hurt anyone."

Bradley, the undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion, won a controversial split decision, dethroning Pacquiao on scores or 115-113, 115-113 and 113-115, in a fight most ringside media and fans thought Pacquiao won by a wide margin.

Aye, nothing will come of it.

Nothing ever does.

It's a hollow gesture at best.

As for smiling when Bradley held the belt up in front of him, he can hardly act p*ssed off, as he promotes them both.

He's happy for one guy but unhappy for another.

He can also make good money from both instead of just one, due to the controversy, so it's just shrewd business.

If he says Bradley deserved to win, he;s doing Pacquiao a dis-service, and he's only repeating what 90% of people who watched the fight were thinking.

----- Maybe should be amended to "Sunshine never hurt anyone save the Aholes who get sunburned at the hint of sunshine."

Been two worse decisions in the past few weeks in Nevada, and I only watched 1% of the fights staged there!

Katsidis beat on a big strong African from every angle and type of punch possible, outlanding him 15 to one. Poor fella was game and tough, but had a boxing IQ of DUMB, yet he got the decision over Katsidis who the boxing press was calling faded and no longer a credible contender me thinks to whittle his purses down.

Then Showtime had their punch stat midgets push a statue of Tarver on a dolly around the ring against Kayode who debuted his first ever show of defense with his Emmanuel August drunkenmaster rendition, also landing a blizzard of unanswered flurries against Tarver's statue, alas to no avail.

The above is proof positive of the longtime bias against sluggers who can't knockout the fighters all the smartypants know-it-alls think should be knocked out.

We'll see if there's a Bradley rematch, a strong possibility, but regardless, a useless Nevada investigation would be big publicity to garnish bigger PPV numbers than the modest amount this fight generated. Bradley's a big name of sorts now, undefeated, and still game to fight.

Floydy won't be ready until next year, or never if dubious reports of his team of recidivists are true. He may have already irreparably damaged his mental makeup and boxing physique after a few days of incarceration...........horrors!

The desperation of a man who realises he's f****d up his second superfight in as many years.

I would strongly disagree that this was a superfight, but I get your point.

No, I mean he's screwed up Mayweather-Pacquyiao, just as he screwed up Lopez-Gamboa.
