The_budweiser
New WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley has conceded he "needs" to arrange a November rematch against Manny Pacquiao to draw a line under the weekend controversy. Bradley was awarded the bout by the judges - two scored it 115-113 in his favour, the other to Pacquiao by the same score - in a verdict that prompted widespread incredulity. While most concede that Bradley was the stronger in the final couple of rounds, the consensus is that Pacquiao dominated the mid-section of the contest and, as a result, did enough to be given the nod. However, Pacquiao should know better than anyone how judges can disagree with the wider community, having been granted a highly debatable verdict against Juan Manuel Marquez last November. A Bradley v Pacquiao rematch now looks inevitable, considering both fighters appear to want it, they share a promoter, and there was reportedly a clause to that effect inserted in the initial contract. "We need to definitely do this again in November - and let's make it more decisive," Bradley said. http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/154947.html?CMP=OTC-RSS#
brooklynbrawler
Well you can't get much less decisive than a blatant loss. Pacquiao doesn't need to rematch Bradley. He beat him already and most people know it. If the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight can be made, I would make it and ignore the Bradley option. If he beats him again and there's another controversial scoreline, then he's just wasted at least 9 months.
edsel77x
nothing seems to be favored about the match unless there is a guarantee that the judging is going to be fair. Who will decide whats fair and the judging?
