iamasadlittleboy
High flying Japanese prospect Yohei Tobe took another step forward in his career yesterday by advancing his record to 4-0 (2) and beating fringe contender Ryan Bito (29-9-3, 7). Tobe turned professional in February 2011 (making his debut a year ago today) and has moved up the rankings swiftly (he was WBC #23 and IBO's #16 prior to yesterday's bout) having beaten former "world champion" Wanadee Singwancha in his second bout and tough contender Kohei Kono in just his 3rd bout. The win over Bito was the second time Tobe has had to go 8 rounds in his fledgling career, something not many 4 fight novices can say. Impressively Tobe's opponents combined records stands at an amazing 119-37-5! Only his debut opponent had a losing record at the time he fought them! WelshDevilRob
Hes certainly started the hard way. How old is he?
iamasadlittleboy
He's 24, he turns 25 in April. Was a top Japanese amateur and looks a pretty big guy for 115lbs. He's meant to be the next Ioka (despite being slightly older than the Strawweight champion). It's perhaps a shame that 115 is a tough division at the moment.
