In an exclusive interview with Matchroom Boxing, McGuigan said that Frampton’s spectacular seventh round assault on Hughes live on Sky Sports is an early contender for knockout of the year. ‘The Jackal’s’ mentor said that the 24 year-old was brilliant that night at the York Hall in Bethnal Green and “handled the pressure well” he retained his title in his first defence.
