Kazuto Ioka moves to 9-0 (5) with the second defense of his WBC Straweight title coming in just 98 seconds as he stops the previously unbeaten Yodgoen Tor Chalermchai, now 8-1 (4). Also on that card former world champion Nobuo Nashiro (16-4-1, 10) bounces back from his recent loss to WBC Super Flyweight champion Suriyan Sor Rungvisai, with a 2nd round KO win over Thai Norasing Patanakan Gym (1-1, 1). Prospect Ryo Miyazaki (16-0-3, 10) advances at the expense of Kaenpetch Sithpoopetch (2-1) in 3 rounds.

Perhaps most interestingly on the Osaka card was the debut of Kyotaro Fujimoto (1-0) who out pointed Australian Michael O'Donnell (6-15, 2). The 25 year old heavyweight Fujimoto scored a 60-53 shut out on all 3 cards and is, as far as I'm aware a former kickboxer who ran up an 18-5 record and won the 2009 K1 championship. As a kick boxer he recorded wins over Jérôme Le Banner, Peter Aerts and Mighty Mo.

On the other card the once beaten Seiichi Okada (16-1, 9) struggled past journeyman Koji Umetsu (18-12-3, 8) taking a thin majority decision (95-95, 96-94, 97-94) to defend the Japanese Super Featherweight title. Panamanian Celestino Caballero (36-4, 23) successfully defended his WBA Featherweight belt by wide unanimous decision over the game Satoshi Hosono (21-2, 12). The judges found it hard to give Hosono more than a round with scores of 119-108 (twice) and a rather flattering 116-111. In the main event of the card from Yokohama Takashi Uchiyama moved to 18-0 (15) by stopping Jorge Solis (40-4-2-1, 29) in chilling fashion early in round 11. Solis was seen laying on the canvas for a long time as personal saw to him after he was starched in a very late KO of the year contender that can be seen below.
