iamasadlittleboy
Moments ago at the California Commission meeting in Van Nuys, California, and seven CSAC commissioners voted on the Hopkins/Golden Boy appeal on the Bernard Hopkins vs Chad Dawson bout which was ruled as a TKO win for Dawson after Hopkins was thrown to the canvas and injured a shoulder causing the bout to be stopped. The Commission reversed the TKO win by Dawson and ruled the bout a No Decison. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/commission-reverses-tko-win-by-dawson-to-a-no-decison-104231
Sugar_Jay
Good, I have no idea why the ref thought that was a TKO to begin with.

edsel77x
..and a no decision means that...? rrrrrrrrreeematch! cry// Yeah, not on PPV! It better be a HBO boxing after Dark, which is what all it was from the get go.
gavpowell
"It was the fight nobody really gave a shit about. Two rivals: one an old established name on the world stage, the other an upstart, brash and brimming with confidence. It was the fight no-one wanted to see. Chad Dawson, Bernard Hopkins and the World Boxing Council were strangely proud to present...THE GREAT BORE." Alas, as is so common these days, all things beget a sequel. "They said it couldn't happen again. They said it was the bore to end them all. It was the fight no-one would remember; it was the farce nobody could forget. And now, it is happening again. Chad Dawson. Bernard Hopkins... WORLD BORE TWO.
WelshDevilRob
Seems the right result. Glad we counted it as an NC in the Prediction League.
Kimmy
It's right, Dawson didn't land a punch it can't be a TKO win. Hopkins is still champion and these two must fight again. I think it's potentially a boring fight yes but it's the two top fighter in the division.

Btw, the Pay-per-View did around 30 K Buys, which is just a horrible number......the bottomline is that neither Hopkins or Chad Dawson is a Draw, and together they make for lousy Box Office. Despite the controversy, I'm thinking a rematch is pretty low on HBO's priorities, maybe we'll get lucky and this fight will simply dry up and blow away. gavpowell
Knew I could rely on you for a laugh, mr murphy! I have to say, I really don't like the idea that fights stand or fall based on the whims of the TV companies - just becauyse nobody wants to televise it, fights should go still go ahead.
