leerhodes
How do u think Haye will box against valuev, will he box clever using his speed and keeping out of the way to win on points or will he try to KO him. I think a safe bet is Haye on points.
Faulks
Mate i have to say i think the only way he might win is by getting a KO. I agree he should use his speed and move in and out though Germany is a tough place to get e decision.
The_budweiser
i can see haye being scared/wary of valuev in opening rounds. and valuev being scared/wary of hayes speed and power. i can see the opening few rounds being like haye v barrett. very cagey and not alot of action but then it will explode and both fighters will be going all guns blazing i cant see this one going to points, haye needs to work valuevs body as hes struggle to nail his chin with that long jab and height advantage. it wouldnt surprise me if hayes put in his place by the giant. im looking forward to this, cant wait . stream will be in private section - 100 posts for access
WelshDevilRob
Haye interview today from the BBC David Haye aims to make Nikolay Valuev as angry as possible before their eagerly anticipated world heavyweight clash in Nuremberg on 7 November. Londoner Haye, 28, called WBA champion Valuev a "circus show freak" at a news conference on Monday, before adding the Russian "doesn't smell too sweet". "I always fight better when my opponent's angry," said Haye. "I'm going to get him in a position where he really wants to not only beat me but to kill me." Former undisputed cruiserweight champion Haye will be giving away nine inches in height and approximately 90lb in weight to Valuev, who has lost just once in 52 fights and never been knocked down. But Haye, who has fought as a heavyweight only three times, said Valuev would be "too clumsy" and technically deficient to defeat him. "He doesn't have the technical ability to beat someone as fast and as experienced as me," said Haye, who has 21 wins from 22 professional fights. "There are certain aspects of his game that are very effective, he's got a very good and fast jab, a double jab, he throws a nice upper cut. But he's going to need a lot more than those three shots to beat me. "He's an ugly type of fighter, he tries to lean on you, tries to brawl and comes out with a really hairy chest that gets matted and is disgusting. "I've never been a big fan of the matted hair in my face. The size I am, I sort of come up to his chest and apparently the word around the campfire is that he doesn't smell too sweet. "I've talked to a few guys that have been in the ring with him and they say that's the first thing they notice, just the stench. "Hopefully he runs a cold tap over himself or someone hoses him down outside before he comes in." Haye would be Britain's first heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis retired six years ago were he to beat the 36-year-old Valuev.

mofo2
Haye will KO Valuev....Valuev will be overwhelmed with Hayes speed and power...Lets face it if he cannot handle being pressured by a shot Evander holyfield what chance has he got against a faster, stronger more skillful opponent! Faulks
Im with Mof$o on this one. Haye by KO. Though he will have avoid the beast for a few rounds to achieve it
mofo2
I see Haye fighting him in bursts much the same as Evander Ian,keeping close and avoiding going toe to toe....because for all his flaws Valuev will stand and trade unlike the Klits....that gameplan worked for Holy regardless of the scandalous decision and I see it working for Haye!! Faulks
i to watched that fight. Jeez it was bad and the result topped it off. Thats what worries about it going to the judges. Will Haye het the fair result?
mofo2
I think Haye has the ability to leave no-one in any doubt of the result...his movement and workrate will be more than obvious, i'm sure of that!
Faulks
Hope your right Mofo though as stated earlier i think haye might KO him. That leaves no-one in any doubt

Chris75
I think a comfortable decision for Haye 116-112 or thereabouts is nearly a certainty. I can see Haye being cautious and pacing himself for the long haul.

Jabandmove
I think Haye will try to slip the slow punches and then rip Valuev to the body, I don't think his head shots will carry the same power due to the size difference but Valuev is open to the body. McBride
Shouldn't the question be CAN Haye box clever, as opposed to WILL he box clever. He tends to wade in a bit really.

Very good point, McBride. He reminds me abit of Gamboa in that he has all the natural technical ability but sometimes likes to jump in and let fly - often leaving him susceptible to a counter and off balance. Haye with his ability, speed and reflexes could win many fights in a safer manner but seems to like getting involved.
Faulks
Sorry i nicked this from the Sun, still worth a gander though WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev has shrugged off David Haye's latest promotional stunt and dismissed the Englishman as just "another idiot". Outspoken trash-talker Haye, 29, took part in a farcical press conference last week which saw a man turn up dressed in a Halloween outfit pretend to be 7ft Valuev. After goading Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko earlier this year with a graphic t-shirt depicting one of the brothers' severed head, Haye has attempted to wind the Russian giant up by constantly mocking his size and personal hygiene. But Valuev remains distinctly unimpressed. Ahead of their clash in Nuremberg, Germany next month, he said: "I don't really care about what he says or does. "I cannot take him seriously. When I first heard about the t-shirts where he chopped the Klitschkos, I thought 'Oh my God, another idiot in our world'. "He can say whatever he likes — it will not get him my title." Valuev — who has never been floored, let alone knocked out — added: "Everything has been going very well thus far. "I will be in perfect shape on November 7. Let's see what Haye has to say after our meeting in the ring — I doubt it will be much." Promoter Kalle Sauerland seems mildly amused by Haye's antics. He said: "Haye´s behaviour is very strange and not normal at all. "I think one German phrase sums it up well: '1,000 volts, but no light'." Faulks
Arthur Abraham believes that Nikolai Valuev will successfully defend his WBA Heavyweight Title against David Haye. The Russian Giant takes on the British challenger in Nuremberg on November 7 and Abraham feels it will be more dangerous for Haye the longer the fight goes on. Fresh off a mini vacation in Rome following his spectacular Super Six World Boxing Classic knockout victory over Jermain Taylor, King Arthur popped into the Max-Schmeling-Gym today where Valuev held an open training session for the press. “I think Nikolai is going to win,” King Arthur said. “For Haye it will be difficult to come out of cruiserweight and fight a man that is as tall and heavy as Valuev. “I think Haye will tire towards the end because he has a lot of size to push away. “Haye is a good boxer, no doubt about that, but I believe that Niko will take care of business. He will control the fight with his long left jab.” Haye is hoping to anger the Russian giant by insults and PR stunts in an attempt to disrupt Valuev’s focus for the fight. The Londoner knows if the giant steps in the ring blinded by rage, it will affect his concentration and focus and allow Haye to take advantage. McBride
I am sorry to the haye fans for mentioning this, but I just cant get the image of the totally, and completely useless Barratt getting up off the canvas for the fourth time, catching Haye with a left hand and getting him in all sorts of trouble. But for the foul shot follow up, and the ref giving Haye plenty of recovery time, who knows what might have happened?
