WelshDevilRob
A good friend of mine is promoting his first show. He manages fighters but is stepping into the promotional field. This Friday at The Ambassador, St. Louis, is where you need to be, if near. Damn good card headlined by Vaughn 'The Animal' Alexander. Card details here: Vaughn Alexander, Joshua Temple, Akeem Cheatham & Brandon Martin in action on Friday, August 11th https://www.ringnews24.com/2023/07/25/vaughn-alexander-joshua-temple-akeem-cheatham-brandon-martin-in-action-on-friday-august-11th/ Vaughn Alexander vs Brian Damian Chaves card set for July 29th in St. Louis https://www.ringnews24.com/2023/07/17/vaughn-alexander-vs-brian-damian-chaves-card-set-for-july-29th-in-st-louis/ 1
Ledhed1
Good luck to Mr. Cameron. I sometimes refer to the boxing industry as leaderless and directionless. But to the degree it survives and thrives, it does so from the grass roots level. Attract the locals to support local fighters and build the fanbase organically. Any synergy between the national/world-level promoters and those at the "small hall" level is non-existent, but the PBCs, TopRanks and Matchrooms of the world feed off the efforts of the "small fish" to maintain the foundation.
Cableaddict
Nice. Boxing promotion needs all the competition it can get. Best of luck to your friend. 1
LondonRingRules
--- I'm hesitant to go to any boxing promotion after almost experiencing a riot in Houston years ago because of gross refereeing incompetence. I can defend myself one on one just fine, but not against a bunch of goons with some behind me crashing bottles and chairs on my noggin. Go to the hospital to get stitched up literally and financially with 10K bill. St Louis the kind of place where you might be carjacked, shot, or both. Wish your friend all the best though. That sounds like a decent card for a rookie. 1
