LondonRingRules
- - Canelo with bust hand and/or wrist in his last outing vs Golovkin looking for rehabilitation against John Ryder this Saturday, May 5th. Also Canelo Homecoming as it's been awhile since he fought in Mexico. Though I'm not one who thought Ryder beat Callum Smith, it's interesting in those who thought that seem to dismiss Ryder for this fight. If Canelo busted mitt don't hold together, could be a long, painful night. Anyone watching or even care? I'd have thought it would be hot topic on a British Forum.
Ledhed1
The only thing that derails Canelo is the hoopla of fighting at home. Family, friends, hangers-on wanting tickets etc. Perhaps also looking ahead to a Bivol rematch but the prospect of what's next has never affected Canelo before. Ryder's tough as a bull; has a similar come-forward approach to Canelo's. He'd be smart to take it to right to Canelo from the off; allowing Canelo to come to him is a losing proposition. Don't think he has enough to pull this off though. We're made to wait for Canelo-Benavidez.

I agree to be honest, but if he pulls it off it has to be one of the biggest upsets of all time, its proportionate to Honeyghan vs Curry for me, nobody is giving him a prayer! Cableaddict
Kudos to Ryder. He made the fight at least watchable. And screw the judges who insulted him by not giving him the rounds he fairly clearly won. (Canelo's defense seemed to be on vacation somewhere.) Still, there was never s ingle moment when you thought Ryder might actually win. The entire card was absurdly lopsided matchups. Feh .....

Can't say the same for the judges who scored for the local man.

selij
Ryder clearly won 3 rounds, one judge had it a wipe out for Clenelo, even if it had been close Ryder wasnt getting a dec.
