WelshDevilRob
The fight with Gervonta Davis ended in the 7th. I enjoyed watching it. But, some say that Garcia swallowed it after the body shot. Could he have continued? Or, legit stoppage? What did you think of the fight?
Cableaddict
I dunno what to think. That was the longest "delayed reaction" I've ever seen, and Garcia didn't even look like he was in pain. Maybe a dive, since it was a catchweight and has little consequence? Team Mayweather certainly has the funds to make it worth Garcia's humiliation. It's also a little suspect that Davis, that little shit, predicted a KO in the seventh round. But then again, Tank does hit hard, and he landed a perfect left to the liver. Plus, Garcia seemed to be throwing real punches up until that point. I have to watch the fight again, to see if Garcia was really throwing with bad intent. I thought so at the time, but .... 1
mofo2
Ive seen this line being spouted by quite a few of the casual fans, im not buying that a fighter at that level hasnt the desire to carry on because of anything other than he was unable to; if any of you have fought or sparred, you will know there is sometimes a delay and its impossible to get up, he was still in the fight at that point I dont see the conspiracy myself Edited April 25 by mofo2 1
selij
The catchweight was engineered by TBE / Ellerbe (as he did for himself with Cotto) on behalf of scumbag Garcia and it paid off, but it doesn't prove anything. Well done Garcia - just remind me of the significance of this win ? 1

No Mas. He was in big trouble and being humiliated for the first time in his career, and I think he just didn't want any more of it. I HAVE boxed (21 fights in the ams) and know what a good liver shot feels like, and I absolutely don't believe that Garcia was in that kind of pain. Nothing about it looks legit. 1
LondonRingRules
- - Garcia is coming back after needing several months off for mental stabilization. Can't discount the mental lapse sorta like Sharkey folding, begging for the ref after Dempsey landed a legit solarplexus knockdown. Much ado soon to be forgotten in the bigger picture. Ryan the much greater physical talent may be impeded by his mental limitations as we have seen with most talented fighters who fall short. Ie: Oscar's former Golden Boy, Victor Ortiz,/ who at least had an excuse of being abandoned by his parents growing up in foster care. 1

He wasnt being humiliated, he was merely struggling to land the left hook and was being countered or held, far too many people jump on the bandwagon when a fighter is beaten and look for reasons why and thats simple really; he was merely beaten by a better man who hurt him, no more no less for me. 1
robprosser
I don't think he quit. Having experienced it myself when I were a lad, sometimes you only feel the effect of a body shot when you try to inhale and find that you can't. 1

Thanks to Instagram Ryan, the pair pulled 1.2 mil PPVs, but they don't say how many of those PPVs tanked in the middle of the broadcast. Tank can't pull squat as he'll find out with his next Floydy TBA fight. 1
