The_budweiser Posted September 12, 2011 Share Posted September 12, 2011 Philadelphia, PA—Battle-tested welterweight prospect Ray Robinson fights at home for just the second time in his career when he faces Manuel Guzman of Lancaster, PA, in the scheduled eight-round main event Friday evening, Sept. 30, at the National Guard Armory in Northeast Philadelphia. The Robinson-Guzman bout is part of history, making Brittany Rogers (President of Bam Boxing Promotions Inc.) the youngest female in the United States to promote a fight card. First of eight additional bouts begins at 7.30 p.m. Rogers is a student at Temple University, finishing up her last semester as a Sport and Recreation major. She is 22 years old and making her dreams come true. "Russell Peltz and Maureen Sacks, of Peltz Boxing, have given me the opportunity of a lifetime by taking me in as an intern in late April,” said Rogers. “They have taught me so much over the last few months and have guided me through this great experience of promoting my first show."
