Fighting in a 12-round WBA light welterweight elimination bout, Prescott knocked McCloskey down, bloodied his nose, won a wide majority of the rounds and had him out on his feet at the final bell. Despite that, the exclusively European officials turned in verdicts of 114-113, 114-113, and 115-113 for McCloskey.
