londoner
McCloskey won a relatively controversial points decision. I didn't score the fight as i missed the first 3 rounds but the guys i watched it with said it was a fair decision. Basically it seems like Prescott won the first few rounds and then McCloskey won the later rounds. What i do know for sure though is neither deserves a rematch with Khan. They're not even in the same league as Khan. McCloskey barely did anything in their first fight and i don't see what he could do in a second fight with Khan. Prescott is famous for one thing: Beating Khan in 54 seconds. SOUNDS very impressive. What has he accomplished since? Nothing. Khan being KO'd in 54 seconds SOUNDS awful. What has he accomplished since? He's beaten notoriously difficult Andriy Kotelnik, the hardest puncher at 140lbs Marcos Maidana and beat Paul McCloskey easily. Breidis Prescott struggled with McCloskey last night as he has in most of his fights since the Khan win.
Wheelchair
Neither of these two are going to trouble a true world class fighter soon. Prescott runs out of ideas after a few rounds, wings big wide punches, and misses by a mile. McCloskey is a bum. Standing there with his arms held low like he's Ali, and thinking he's some world beater. If he steps up and fights for a title again, he'll be embarrassed. It was painful to watch how amateurish he looked last night. How he got the nod is beyond me. This should never have been an eliminator for a world title, neither fighter reaches the standards required at true world level.
donlevy
I only had McCloskey winning one of the first seven rounds. He controlled the last five rounds but started really slow and had a knockdown given against him.I dont see the argument for him winning anything more than six rounds.
