    Thanks. I appreciate the response.

Good one. I watched that tonight.

I love it when a little guy goes up against a tall guy. I always say, when a short & tall fighter meet, except for arm length & the ability for a tall fighter to just pull his head back for safety, the shorter fighter has all the other advantages. For instance, it's hard for the tall guy to see punches coming on the inside.
            DAT UPPERCUT ! whew.

            - Thx.

I just re-watched all three Antonio Tarver - RJJ fights.

The second two are sorta' hard to watch, if you were a fan of the once super-human Jones, but that first fight, despite him being on the decline, was really exciting.
Tarver was so explosive when he attacked, and Roy had to really dig deep.

I dunno what the crowd was booing about at the end, the winner was pretty clear, IMO.

                --- Hairy'sSon Scott vs Paul Peers, 0-2, 2 1st rd KO losses.

Peers a Charlie Z quick, lanky darter actually looked good in the beginning vs a balding Hairy in reasonable shape til a belt line body shot folded him in appropriate grimaces.

I suggest you check out Tarver on the Al Bernstein podcast unplugged. Great interview.

Watched Kirk Johnson vs Al Cole II. This fight took place on the Ike Ibeabuchi vs Chris Byrd undercard. Very fun fight, super under the radar. Not sure i ever watched it before.

I watched a few football games and its put me right off watching any sport without fans, until they return.

I'm finding it a very painful watch.

You don't realise how much the fans matter until they're not there.

Anyone else finding it difficult to watch without an atmosphere?

Hmm, to tell you the truth i hadn't noticed it much. It's strange in basketball and baseball. I wish Top Rank would stop the hearmecheer thing.

                            RE having no fans:
All sports should do the following:

Set up hundreds of rooms throughout the country, where (in each one) small groups of people, recently tested for covid (or those who had it and recovered) get together to watch the event on a big screen TV, but wearing headphones. (No broadcast sound in the room.)
Put some mics in each room, and record broadcast all of the groups' reactions, combined. It would be easy to digitally enhanced that final audio track to sound like it was in a large stadium.

                            Ta da.

I agree, it was a competitive fight but Jones won clearly. Maybe the crowd were just used to seeing him utterly dominate the opposition and were disappointed that they didn't get that.

--- Watched a half dozen David Benavidez fights in advance of his Roamer Angulo fight this Sat.

Kid is hardly a speciman by looks, but very heavy handed and patient boxer. Seems to be in for the long haul.
