Martin Gethin Makes Walsall FC Appearance Ahead of Title Showdown

Martin Gethin visited his beloved Walsall FC on Saturday as he steps up preparations ahead of his first defence of the British Lightweight title next month. The 29 year-old takes on Anthony Crolla on Saturday, 23rd November on the undercard of Carl Froch’s WBA and IBF Super Middleweight title showdown with George Groves at an already sold-out Phones 4u Arena Manchester. On Saturday, the ‘Quiet Man’ watched The Saddlers slip to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of local rivals Coventry City and was on hand at half-time to present members of Walsall FC’s Academy with their Player of the Month Certificates.
