For people who thought the MBC was an issue in the UK

Korea has 4 different bodies-

The Korean Boxing Commission (KBC)- which boxrec regard as being similar to the BBBofC

The Korean Boxing Federation (KBF)-an off shoot from the KBC, who have the very talented Ye Joon Kim and Su Yun Hong under their banner. Notably they are recognised as legitimate in Japan and have links with the IBF.

The Korean Professional Boxing Federation (KPBF)-No notable names here, and very little recognition, but they do seem to have links with the WBA/PABA

The Korean Boxing Association (KBA)-They have Hyun Mi Choi, the only "real" world champion from Korea, and Dan Bi Kim.

Annoyingly Boxrec only partially list the "unsanctioned" bouts from the non-KBC fighters. The commissions all keep their own records, which is useful and a lot more complete than boxrec's, but it's a pain in the arse going on to their sites to find out the records of guys, and needing to transliterate their bloody names.

In Germany situation with boxing comissions is difficult too. Sauerland's cards are always supervised by Austrian Boxing Federation, while other events are comissioned by Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer. I don't know why.
