Trey Lippe-MorrisonAnnihilates Bobby Thomas in 80 seconds!

For Immediate Release

Miami, OK (November 14,2015) – Rising heavyweight sensation Trey Lippe-Morrison of Tulsa,OK continued his march towards becoming a player in the heavyweightdivision by scoring a devastating 80 second knockout of Bobby Thomasat the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, OK.

Fighting in front of asold out crowd and with legendary trainer Freddie Roach in hiscorner, Lippe-Morrison was a man on a mission from the opening bell. With his fans cheering him on in hope of another knockout,Lippe-Morrison connected with a hard right hook to Thomas' head justover a minute into the opening stanza, sending Thomas to the canvas. The referee started to count before realizing Thomas was in noposition to continue, waiving the bout off at 1:20.

“I love working withFreddie Roach because he's getting me polished,” Lippe-Morrisonsaid after the dominant performance. “I didn't have an amateurcareer so he's really helping me with the learning curve.”

Lippe-Morrison, who is now10-0 with all of his wins by knockout, is pleased with hisperformance but insists he isn't hunting for knockouts.

“Believe it or not, I'mnot gunning for quick knockouts but they're coming and I'm happy toplease the fans. I'm continuing to improve as a boxer under Freddie'swatch and will consult with my team about the next step.”

Tony Holden, promoter ofLippe-Morrison, believes his fighter is on the path to stardom.

“Trey looked like afuture champion and he fought with incredible confidence. He's onlyboxed 12 rounds as a professional and just knocked out a fighter thatwent five rounds with a two division world champion in BeibutShumenov. We've been trying to get Trey rounds by stepping up thecompetition but he continues to knock guys out in devastatingfashion.”

In undercard action, fellow unbeaten heavyweight Kenzie Witt of Bartlesville, OK, scoredan impressive second round knockout of Jordan Brown. Witt, whoimproved to 6-0-1 with 5 knockouts follow the victory, isLippe-Morrison's brother and the son of late heavyweight championTommy Morrison.

Re: Trey Lippe-Morrison destroys Bobby Thomas in 80 seconds!

Thanks, man. I didn't even know about this guy. Had no idea tommy had a son, let alone that he was a boxer.

So far I've only seen his fight with Dawson. Hard to say just how good he is, but he sure has fast hands. Andy Ruiz fast. Plus he throws that right cross almost like a hook, which could be a huge thing if he can learn to also throw it straighter (for even more speed, and so he can change it up.)

Looks to have good balance, too, and really sits down on his punches.

The only obvious flaw is that he throws everything hard, always the same speed. I'll be very interested to see the Thomas fight, to see if Roach had any influence on this. n only 80 seconds it might not be evident, anyway, but I'm still curious.

Jeez, the HW division is gonna' be really good in about 2 years, if the promotors and managers don't completely screw it up. WIlder, Povetkin, Joshua, Parker, Whyte, Bogdan Dinu, Morrison, Baby Hughie, Charles Martin, Breazeale, Ugonoh, Keith Tapia, Usyk (when he steps up), Nick Asbery...

Plus, in all seriousness, I think Taishan "Sugar" Dong, (aka "Big Swinging Dick" ) could seriously be a player. He seems really dedicated to training, and is surprisingly athletic for such a huge guy.

^ Imagine if all these guys actually, you know, fought each other? (One can dream ..... )

Do you know, where I can see this fight? Never heard about this prospect.

It's on da' tooob now:

Not much to see, really. Morrison was fighting some blown-up CW cabby with about 30 lbs of blubber around his waist. A guy who'd (literally) be a LHW if he was in shape, and coming off two straight losses. Obviously just a "designated opponent." - Yet Morrison took continuous full-blows to his face, before the inevitable conclusion.

I'm shocked that Freddy Roach would even let him into the ring with such (literally) non-existant defense.

Re: Trey Lippe-Morrison vs Bobby Thomas - Post fight

How can I see the video guys? I'm new here, finding site hard to navigate. Didn't know tommy had son. Let's hope he's as exciting as his dad was in the 90s. That fight with razor ruddock was awesome.

It's on Youtube, mate. Are you, Dan?

It turns out Morrison had TWO sons, and they're both HW boxers! - The other son fought on the same card. He looked pretty good, too. I dunno why Freddy chose Trey, out of the two of them.

Yes rob dude. It's me number 1 chippie.

Nice one. Was talking to the painter there last week - another big boxing fan and nice guy. Might see you tomorrow, as am on duty from 4pm tomorrow at the house. :)

Used to love watching Tommy Morrison fights. Part of a Great era with Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Riddick Bowe, Ray Mercer, Razor Ruddock, David Tua and many more.
