LondonRingRules
Re: GGG vs Kovalev Sparring --- It's sparring, so it means nothing, but if it happened, I've never heard it yet. If G thought he could get the job done at 175 he'd move there. He's not now nor has any announced plans to do so, so much ado about nothing serious for now. Schmeling
Re: GGG vs Kovalev Sparring I don't think that GGG can stand the power of Kovalev at Light Heavyweight.
The_budweiser
Re: GGG vs Kovalev Sparring So many people think a fight can be determined from past sparring sessions (not saying you are Fanboy). What a lot of rubbish, sparring means nothing. Sparring is to try out new things, new combinations, different fight plans/styles and you will make mistakes. I'd favour Kovalev is this fight. Is there a video of the sparring Fanboy?
selij
Re: GGG vs Kovalev Sparring This hype all stems from this Abel Sanchez pronunciation: From GGG's own mouth - half way thru this interview:
Cableaddict
Re: GGG vs Kovalev Sparring "From GGG's own mouth - half way thru this interview:" Yes, and his own mouth clearly says: "Not knock him down, just hard work and sparring." Not that it matters, because as @London wrote, sparring is sparring. You're working on stuff, anything can happen and it doesn't reflect what happens in a real fight. thedarkdragon11
Re: GGG vs Kovalev Sparring Sparring and real fight are different. But this fight is definitely a good fight to watch. However, at this point, it might only happen in catchweight or at Super Middleweight limit because of their age and both wants to become a lineal and undisputed champion of their respective divisions.
