WBO Orders Kovalev vs Yarde

Not sure this one comes to fruition, but it's interesting....

A huge step up for Yarde for sure as he is seriously untested, but there's part of me that thinks it could also be the right time to catch Kovalev, though he did impress in his rematch against Alvarez :noidea:

May be an interesting fight but perhaps too early for Yarde. I think Kovalev may just take him to school and give him a beating. A big chance for that.

I dont see anything but a Yarde easy stoppage. Kov is well past his sell-by date.

Although Yarde at his current stage wouldnt have beaten a prime Kov. Its a 'changing of the guard' fight.

I dunno. Yarde looks very good, esp that left hook, but he's still a little undisciplined.

And Sergey has a LOT more high level experience. Plus, he probably learned some good lessons from fighting that dirty, cheating POS from Oakland.

Also, Shabransky's no joke, and "reborn" Sergey took him apart.

Then he learned another lesson from Alvarez, came back and looked spectacular in their rematch.

This will be an interesting fight, to say the least.

Not sure Frank will make it though. Despite all his calls that Yarde is ready, we know how cautious Frank can be with his "prospects".
