What next for David Haye?

Re: What next for David Haye?

He was talking of reviewing the tape and going from there. I have no doubt he could still beat a lot of fighters, but ultimately he would come unstuck against the likes of Whyte, Fury, Wilder and especially Joshua. Time to retire whilst he still has his faculties intact.

Re: What next for David Haye?

I think he knows deep down that he is finished and done, but will want to trick the public again into think thinking that he is "feeling greater than ever" in order to a secure a further payday. In the build up to the rematch he was saying that he would retire if he lost or if he won but performed poorly, so he knows deep down that he is done. I guess I don't think he was mentally ready to say those words on the mic in the post fight interview, he probably wants to finish on a high which he clearly will not get against any half credible opponent.

I don't see a bright future for him. He didn't look fast enough, had no strategy (throwing some wild punches instead of clinching) and terrible punch resistance. He's also prone to injuries, so I think he should give up with professional sport.

This and this!

There's no way anyone can be "tricked" into believing Haye has anything left.

A brilliant career at cruiserweight, but following that laboured victory over Valuev for the WBA heavyweight title, it's been a massive downhill slope of disappointments, losses, injuries and false promises.

As I have alluded to in another thread, Haye is likely the type of character to shrug his shoulders and be happy enough having made a good chunk of money from the game. He seemingly has a half decent little stable he can now focus on managing and promoting, ideally with his head down under the radar for a bit.

Re: What next for David Haye?

haye looked so shot , but there may be a payday left if he can get the interest , chisora 2 is a good shout

That's the only "real" fight that makes any sense at all. Chisora is a desperate has been at this point, but he knows how to get press coverage. And their first fight was probably the one time Haye ever actually looked like a bona fide, credible HW.

Still, who would actually pay to watch this?

--- I'd say making an international porn movie with his buddy Joe Fournier as they hop his clubs across the globe. That's essentially the lifestyle he's been living...

How about David Haye vs Stormy Daniels?

Re: What next for David Haye?

I thought he might have one last fight against a no hoper so he could go out on a win. But I guess even Dave wouldn't show it this time...

If he had the bottle and any self respect as a man he would sort a fight out agaist Delboy. People would pay for that grudge-match but its time to hang the old gloves up. Haye likes to pretend he's from the streets of 'Sarf Landan' but fact is he had a middle class upbringing and is bottle-less.

Disregarding the fact that anyone even tempted to pay for a Haye fight should be placed under financial supervision, what's the point? Chisora was half-carried back to his corner at the end of their fight - it's not like he got robbed on the cards.

The only thing David Haye needs to do is fuck off and stop giving interviews.

Results aside - there's still a helluva lot of personal bad blood betwen them - and this will (would have) gain more PPV interest than anything else I can see between 2 UK boxers at the moment. but he's gorn so thats it....
