pittbox Posted December 12, 2017 Share Posted December 12, 2017 Swedish boxer Erik Skoglund has suffered a brain injury during the training and is now placed in coma. I hope that he'll get out of it, but his boxing career should be terminated. Professional boxing has been fully legalized in Sweden just few years ago and it's already the second brain bleed accident involving top boxer from this country. The previous case was Frida Wallberg, who recovered after the serious injury inflicted during her fight against Diana Prazak in 2013. I wonder will it have any serious implications on the image of boxing in Sweden. BBC said it happened after feeling ill after a training session - Erik Skoglund: Swedish boxer has brain surgery and is in a coma - BBC Sport Hope he is safe and well in the end and that he retires and doesn't put his health in jeopardy like Blackwell did sparring after his 1st coma.
