BoztheMadman
Re: R.I.P. to Ferdie Pacheco Seemed like a kind man, but as a commentator he could be very biased. RIP. I remember he had a buddy relationship with Julian Jackson.

LondonRingRules
Re: R.I.P. to Ferdie Pacheco --- Never a fan of Ferdie myself as he was too full of himself and would be at the bottom of docs I'd seek out if I had a medical problem, but he did at least have a sense of honor to him most significantly played out when he excused himself from that regrettable Holmes farce. He had known for years Ali needed to retire, but could never convince him. So, R.I.P. Ferdie, you did about as good a job in boxing as can be allowed in such a seedy sport. The_budweiser
Re: R.I.P. to Ferdie Pacheco Email from Showtime - On the passing of Dr. Ferdie Pacheco: "The Fight Doctor" Ferdie Pacheco was the lead boxing analyst on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING in the 80's and early 90's. Having worked the corner of the great Muhammad Ali, Pacheco had a unique perspective on fighters and the sport of boxing. He was passionate about the "Sweet Science" and a very opinionated commentator. Pacheco's concern for fighters’ safety was evident during his years as a broadcaster. Our sincere condolences to the Pacheco family and to all those who grieve his passing. - SHOWTIME Sports
