Re: Your top 5 British Heavyweights?

1. Tyson Fury

After his shock win over Klitschko he deserves top spot.

2. Anthony Joshua

IBF champ and is progressing well.

3. David Haye

Haye due to his inactivity and not holding a belt he goes in at number 3 for me.

4. Dereck Chisora

The tough durable and often out of shape Chisora. He's fought some good names and deserve to be listed in UK's top 5.

5. Whyte, Price, Cornish, Allen, H.Fury

Can't pick a just one. Hopefully one of the above can step it up in the near future.

I feel like Dillian Whyte is better than his rankings suggest given what he did to AJ but to be honest both are still to be truly tested against top opposition and Haye is proven albeit not recently. Also I don't like including Chisora at all so I went with Price although he needs to do something to show he can still mix it.

This is pretty spot on for me. Joshua over Haye given the lack of credible opponents he's faced on his comeback. I'd have Whyte, Price and H. Fury under 5. and Cornish and Allen a level below. If Joyce and Clarke turn pro in the next year or two the domestic scene could be pretty health for a few years.

Just wondering, why you guys have Joshua as number 1 over Fury who has the WBA, WBO and IBO belts and beat the unbeatable Klitschko who has dominated the heayweight division for years.

I am going by talent and potential rather than experience and to be honest I sort of did a mix of rank and my personal taste.. I find Fury quite boring and I genuinely think if Fury and AJ met even now AJ would be too powerful for him. Fury has good footwork and good head movement but [who was it that said if you can't catch their head just jab at their chest.. Foreman?] Either way I think AJ would hurt him even just putting shots on his chest and through his gloves

How does your rating/picks look after the Whyte/Allen fight?

1. Anthony Joshua.

2. David Haye.

3. Tyson Fury.

4. Vacant.

5. Vacant.:nono:

And, with Fury out of business right now, there would be only two men in my ranking.

Disapointing fight yesterday...

David Price rating himself :haha:

Boxers really are a true, thick breed of their own!

Ranking by achievement and standing is definitely different than how you'd rank them on talent/potential...

You have to have 1 and 2 as Fury and AJ.

I think AJ would beat Fury though.

I also think Haye would beat Fury also, but Haye wold have to be 3 on the list due to the inactivity.

Re: Your top 5 British Heavyweights?

I´m updating my short list, due to the Fury´s affair:

1. Anthony Joshua

2. David Haye.

3. Lennox Lewis.

4. Dereck Chisora.

5. Dillian Whyte.

I think Lennox would win both Chisora and Whyte...on the same night.

Re: Your top 5 British Heavyweights?

--- I'm coming around to thinking with the obvious delicacy of Wilder, Chisora's best bet for a title would be him.

Just use his ugly mug to let Wilder bust hisself up. Maybe not a cakewalk, but everyone knows now that Wilder struggles more and more.
