The_budweiser
Re: Is this the end of Frankie Gavin? Ladies and Gentlemen...Scott Harrison! I shouldn't of laughed at that, but, being serious maybe Gavin needs to learn from other boxers downfalls. He had a lot of potential but has far from lived up to others expectations. Not sure where he goes from here.......
lynne.buckley
Re: Is this the end of Frankie Gavin? Bernard Hopkins, sonny Liston, Mike Tyson and I'm sure there are others. Far more serious crimes than a bar fight. Not to mention trainers and promoters crimes. It's not the end for him if he can stop himself from self destructing. It's despicable behaviour especially in front of your kids. Boxing community is unique in its ability to forgive bad behaviour and crime. I'm not sure why, and I'm not saying it's right. Not the end for him!
Ton
Re: Is this the end of Frankie Gavin? What a bellend!! What type of cunt gets into a bar fight infront of wife and young children. Boxers aren't the best of role models in the first instance but to do all that infront of your kids is just pure classless. After all the hype of his amateur achievements he's really been a shit pro hasn't he? Bet he has a huge chip on his shoulders. ***UPDATE*** Having actually read the interview it seems it was his mate who was the instigator in the fight, but still Frankie got himself involved. Maybe it was a case of sticking up for a mate, but still its not good no matter how you paint it.
Female Money Mayweather Fan
Re: Is this the end of Frankie Gavin? I was quite surprised by that, I always thought he was quite grounded etc. It's a real shame.........
repsac
Re: Is this the end of Frankie Gavin? Has he done anything similar in the past? or is this like the first time he has a brush with the law? I don't think it'll end his career, just an irresponsible mistake. Chris_A
Re: Is this the end of Frankie Gavin? As other posters here have said, it is all good if you stick up to your mate in bar fight, or to protect yourself, but doing that in front of your wife and kids, and also being a professional athlete, is just bad. Both for you being a role model for your children and also, for your general image. That is not the way to do it.
